Yay for bad titles. I couldn't think of anything clever. ;-;
The Age of Exploration, every adventurous man’s dream--or nightmare. Between he and fame and fortune is a perilous journey over black, churning seas and the mysteries of whatever land they reach. For some, the glory overshadows the possibility of death. These select few are called explorers, but also can be known as brave or insane. Sailing for months over what seems like eternal waters could seem even longer with the possibilities of scurvy and attacks by either sea creatures or pirates.
But what dangers await when they finally reach land? Shipwreck, an island of dangerous beasts, or a civilization of cannibalistic wild men? With Pokemon, their loyal partners, by their side, the explorers think they are well-protected. But what of the forbidden shores? Could new, undiscovered Pokemon reside there?
What the unsuspecting adventurers don’t know, is that there are inhabitants, human and beast alike. A tribe of natives makes their home in the dense jungles of the island. Living and working with battling Pokemon, they make their living, though not as savagely as an outsider would like to believe.
The civilization was, well, fairly civilized. A chief reigned over his people, kind, but also hard in times of crisis. No war met the villagers, for there was no one to fight, though wild Pokemon often threatened the safety of the women and children. The crops were normally good and healthy, and there were plenty for everyone. Prayers to the high god, the sun lord, provide them sunlight to help their plants grow, along with rains to quench the earth’s thirst. Losing crops to frost wasn’t a fear for the islanders, for winter rarely occurred in the tropical climate.
Suddenly, though, the weather has changed. Fierce storms off of the regularly mild ocean are befalling the peaceful village, causing problems. The mystic of the natives foresees ghostly men appearing on their shores and attacking. The old, wrinkled woman also knows they are after their sun god, Ho-Oh of the rainbow tail.
Will her visions come true when the sailors reach land?
OOOH. Tension. Suspense.
Characters need to be filled.
Someone has to be the head explorer and chief.
The old mystic lady.
The chief's daughter.
Random villagers and sailors. :3
And to be realistic, minimum amounts of female explorers. >>;
I was thinking about either chief or head explorer.
And Elite helped me think of this. ^^ <3
