Bleach Reply:Death Note FTW! But I am glad Hulu got someone into more anime~ I think you could say Shikai and Bankai and it will sound plural. Yes, Bleach is interesting and the fights can be rather awesome with the appearance and powers of the weapons. I cannot lie about any of that with the bright flashes and cool names.
"Troll" is a kind word for Aizen. At least he seemed cool at first. Yet again, that is common in Bleach with the power-ups and "I must get stronger, I MUST GET - oh, I just beat you, I am stronger!" And I know the ending for Aizen is anti-climatic (from what I read and that deeply disappointed me - if you are going to tease us with a character like that, at least make it good!).
I loved everything during the Soul Society parts, but the stuff afterward did not strike my interest as much. Like the Bount arc, but that was a filler arc anyway. But I did not even finish watching that all because I lost track of the episodes on Adult Swim.
I think I understand why Ichigo grows fast (with certain things about him specificially), and he is too generic sometimes. And yes, the slow-pacedness is also the fault of filler and stretching things out. But Bleach does milk it for what its worth, so that can be annoying. Both are evil.
Though, I currently like the Princess Lurichiyo arc going on AS. The arc itself is another filler but pretty cool, in my opinion. But Kibune had an awful reason for his actions than I thought he would (well, I was starting to get higher hopes but I did not expect anything mind-boggling). The only thing which interests me is
when Princess Lurichiyo told him he was scared of something, and we have not been introduced to what that is yet - unless it's him feeling even more neglected by society.
Kubo recently said that the story is only half-way done and it could last for another ten years. Yes, ten years, so it will never end! It will forever be! Not many people are thrilled about that with the slow pacing and his way of building up tension for nothing, so I don't know how I feel. Is anyone's attention span going to honestly last?
But you should stick around for Rukia, 'cause she is the best character in Bleach, you know. She should be the main character. >_>
The Code Geass Mention:Thankfully, there is going to be more Code Geass called Code Geass GAIDEN: Boukoku no Akito (Code Geass Side Story: Akito of the Ruined Nation), but not with Lelouch. I think it's supposed to be some type of prequel with C.C. and another person who suspiciously looks like Lelouch (from what I remember from scans from a while back). I believe it will be a third season but I am sure nothing has been confirmed yet. There are going to be some CG mangas this year, too (I do not know anything about them, honestly), so that is something to look forward to.
Which reminds me, I definitely should finish S2. It leaves off at a point where more could be explained, but even if I have not seen it, it sounds like a magnificent end. I was going to but Adult Swim only showed it once and I had no easy way to find it since in English dub. -_-; Crunchyroll should try to add that soon, along with the first season in sub and dub.
Angel Beats! ReplyThere's no dub - has not even been licensed yet. It seems cliche with the school enivonment and the same character types as usual (from what I have seen) and that is probably what your friend means. Truthfully, I had hoped it would have been in a different, more awesome location with its premise (and a school after death seems like a plain idea) but it seems okay. And there is a band? I have heard the music and it is pretty neat, but still, I thought it would be different.
This is why everyone compares it to Haruhi~
Tenshi is my favorite because she is awesome. I only watched the first half of the first episode. I did not stop because it was bad - just because I did at that time and never started watching again. I know it is supposed to be sad, too, so I should watch more of it. I am a sucker for sadness and shows of this type anyway, and I did like the eight or so minutes I saw (don't get me wrong, right now I am just thinking more about the content than my own interests xD). A lot of people like Angel Beats! too. Plus, the opening song is pretty.
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt ReplyA very mature audience.
Stocking does seem better than Panty, anyways. Parodying pop culture is cool, it is just the vulgar parts I never want to watch, thus I will not watch the show. I know it's not to be taken seriously and I don't hate it or anything - others like it, so let them. It's like High School of the Dead - popular because it's different, IMO, and the gore and zombies in that honestly repel me even more.
Popular with girls more than guys? Huh, weird. And it is okay, I won't hurt you for liking this anime. xD
The World God Only Knows ReplyLike I said, I'm glad you watched it and liked it. I thought you would with the romance and all.
Yes, Keima is epic. We must follow in his footsteps and only adore 2D! Eh, they just think he's so geeky because he plays games every waking moment of the day. Oh well, that leaves him to me. The “I can see the ending” is awesome, too. ^^
Elsie/Elsea is naive and all but she isn't extremely airheaded sometimes - she does get exasperated when Keima doesn't seem to get it that there are real girls out there and he wastes his life on games. She seems weirded out by her Kami-sama and can at least stay focused on tasks. But she just doesn't seem to understand all of the trouble she causes to everyone, even if Keima tells her every other minute. xD The "illegitimate child" thing actually had me laughing for a while, and I always found it amusing how she's so bubbly and moe but is a demon. Heck, Hell wants to capture the loose souls in custody so they will not cause trouble. The only time Elsie shows a demon personality is in the first episode when she
threatened Keima that his head would come off with the collar if he did not help with the collection of the loose souls.
Yeah, I cannot wait to see what other girls there will be. I agree with you about Mio and Shiori. I think Ayumi was just supposed to be there to introduce the capturing, but it still could have been better indeed. So in all to me it was Shiori (1# for sure!) and Mio as potential girls, but Ayumi and Kanon didn't work out. Kanon was great but she was more of a friend type to me with her and Keima's interactions with each other.
That's sort of how it works! But I know a spoiler for later on and it might make more sense then, I think. Besides,
it's not like they all forget everything - I mean, look at how Shiori seemed to remember there had been someone in the library with her right before the other members of the library committee barged in. There's some hints there that all of them don't for a certain reason yet to be said, I believe. Plus, Kanon remember something, didn't she?
Indeed, I cannot wait for the second season in the Spring! =b Now that we have both seen that final episode, we know how truly crazy Keima is for his games. Awesomely insane. And what was even cooler was that
I think that girl at the end was supposed to be Elsie's rival in collecting the loose souls.
Otome Yokai Zakuro ReplySo far I have only watched one episode. I should totally keep up with that. Anyway,, the show does give off an InuYasha-vibe with its comedy and romance. Plus that they're yokai. You are your attraction to blond-haired guys. xD I think you are right with all of that description, too. Actually, I thought you would like this anime more but so far it sounds meh to you (but you have probably watched more it since you posted this last week so you might like it better now).
I agree, Kei is kinda like Tamaki. I wouldn't say Kei and Zakuro are like Tamaki and Haruhi though, but are like . . . some other random couple I cannot think of right now. I felt sorry for Riken but it worked out with Susukihotaru. There are a lot of twins in anime so it's not that odd about them. You know, now that I think about it, Hikaru and Kaoru are the only male twins I remember of in any anime. o.o I didn't think Ganryu was a girl at all. Huh. But I guess it's okay how the twins fawn at him.
It does not appear like too much blood will be in Zakuro - it seems too "classy" for that and calmer. I remember liking the first episode and rereading this makes me want to watch more episodes. People seem to like it because it was made by someone named Lily Hoshino, too. =b
(I wrote a lot with more spoilers. I win!
CR doesn't have Nanoha. Unfortunately, no one is legally streaming Nanoha right now, but if it would be anyone, it would be Funimation. ;_; I wish they would so I could see it. And you better. xD Tell me all about your reactions here when you do. I shall be eagerly waiting in the shadows, Zee-tan.
Speaking of anime, the new Winter season is going to begin soon! I will post a new post when I get into watch some of the new anime to talk about them. If anyone wants to, go ahead and post about what you might want to watch, but I will post when I have seen some shows.)
