This is a thread hoping to start a role play on the PS2 game Persona 4, AU or non... probably the former, as it's not a very popular series. xD Soyeah~ Head count of who cares?

Warning for early-on spoilers.
P.S. This game and Persona 3 have pretty much nothing to do with each other, there are only similar concepts… sort of like Final Fantasy games. In fact, there’s a heavy contrast even in the visuals of the two games that’s obvious – P3 is darker, mostly with midnight red, blue, and green, and P4 is very happy with yellow, orange, and red. The themes are also lighter… sort of. Either way, you can’t really mistake them. So, onward~
You’re a high school student who just transferred to a small, rural town in Japan called Inaba. Early on, you meet these other students in your class who basically become your friends for you. They tell you about this thing called ‘The Midnight Channel’, a rumor where supposedly, if you stare at your tv while it’s turned off at midnight during stormy weather, it’ll turn on automatically and you’ll see your soul mate on the screen. Ridiculous, but, you check it out anyway… only to find yourself pulled towards the t.v. like a vortex, partially ‘in’ it. Your tv is small so you’re able to pull yourself out, but what was that? The ‘soul mate’ you and the others saw on tv, of whom you’ve never met, is murdered shortly after. The same fate befalls a different girl you see on tv – murdered, and found dangling from phone pole wires.
You decide to tell your friends about the tv, having a spooky premonition, and find that not only you, but they can go through the tv as well… and there’s a weird world there, filled with fog and bright yellow, and a strange bear that can talk. Well, alright.
You continuously watch tv only to find that your friend from school has gone missing and they’re on the midnight channel, but with bright yellow eyes and a personality not their own. This person you see on tv is a ‘shadow form’, a symbolic manifestation of the things you hate about you and can’t face… it looks like the person, but wears a costume representing this awful thing, with a twisted voice and very loud expression.
Basically, to shorten things up, the world changes to reflect this thing too – your dungeon could be anything from the harsh arctic to the local supermarket. The person appears on tv not because they’re your soul mate, but because they’re in the tv world, shadows all around them waiting to kill them as soon as the fog hits in your world. It’s your job to rescue the people who’ve somehow gotten into the tv before they’re murdered. You do this with persona, or manifestations of your true self, sort of like monsters but personalized and ultra-symbolic. Also, when you do find the person in the tv and they choose to deny that this shadow form is them out of embarrassment, you’ll find yourself facing a boss that’s also symbolic… once defeated, a metaphor for accepting the embarrassing part of you to become whole again, the person will be given a persona to fight along side you, most of the time anyway.
Still following? Wonderful, because that’s not nearly all. The people you talk to in real life affect your persona based on the major arcana of tarot that they’re assigned, the plot isn’t as simple as ‘people are in the tv and we rescue them’, and there’s symbolism everywhere. Not going to get into that. ;___;
Tl;dr People are in the tv and will be killed if you don’t jump in there and rescue them with persona to help them overcome the flaws in their personality before the fog hits. Seriously.
