The actual RP can be found here. Current PlotOur characters have been transported to this strange land. A whole new planet, actually, not that anyone-- even its inhabitants-- truly know that. Upon arriving here, all is well until a giant worm creature decides to pop out of the ground. And it doesn't look friendly.Current LocationA lush grassland overflowing with plant life. Flowers and trees dot the landscape. The sun is hot, and the breeze that washes over the large lake sitting in the center is absolutely refreshing. However, it's very quiet and empty; there is little evidence of any lifeforms. If your character looks around, they may spot someone, another who has been 'poofed' here. Oh, and then there's the huge worm slithering about-- hard to miss that.BackgroundSee below. -will be updated once ideas are more solidified and Elite is not lazy-Rules and Other Things- Follow TML's guidelines
- Two characters maximum (tends to get confusing otherwise)
- Characters may be from ANY fandom or an original character; all creatures are accepted
- If you do not wish to play a character anymore, you may switch to another (though do try to make the transition as smooth as possible)
- More rules will be added as warranted.

Alright, so I've decided that I'm going to make a Multiverse RP. Since everything has been a bit slow lately, I want an RP that the few of us who are active can join, regardless of our genre preferences. As such, any character can be used, be they a character from a fandom or something of your own mind's creation. That's right, ANY CHARACTER is allowed, be they a vampire, your favorite anime character, or that talking ficus that no one ever let you use. No discrimination! D<
To accommodate our wide variety of characters is a world that is equally diverse. It is not Earth-- though many places there may seem like it-- but a whole other world entirely. A world... that I have not yet named. >.>;; But that's not the point. This world is very mysterious, its existence known only by its inhabitants, who have, for some unknown reason, been 'poofed' there. Though that's quite a strange and unsettling experience, finding yourself out in a field or something when you were sleeping in your comfy bed not moments before, these people (and other species; not necessarily human) have learned to adapt to it and live on, creating their own societies. Dispersed throughout this vast land is a plethora of various cities and towns and villages, all housing different and unique groups. Where there may be a city of English aristocrats here, there may be a community of Martians less than a mile away. Consider this world a melting pot of all our wildest imaginations. :) And that's where our role-play would begin: our characters have just been 'poofed' into this world as well.
However, I can't for the life of me think of a plot, the glue that will hold our characters together. I mean, at first they will probably stick together, since they're all new to this world and not sure how things work and will feel secure in numbers, but this probably won't last long unless there's something actually threatening their lives. The best I've thought of is having these monsters/creatures roaming around that are violent or, at the very least, intimidating, but I'm not sure how the rest of you would feel about it.
Of course, we won't always have to be fighting/running away from monsters. For example, towns could be safe zones or something, and we can have a... calmer thing going on. Some little (but hopefully still fun) things going on. In fact, I plan on having some arcs where we take people's requests. Like, say we're off traveling aimlessly in the plains or something, but you have the craving for some sci-fi and want us to go into some outer space adventure. By sending me a PM or posting here on the board, we can make that happen. Of course, doing this, we'll need to be fair and respectful, not saying that someone's idea is stupid or boring. You can have your chance too, just be patient and let others have their fun.
But still, there's no real plot idea. I can't think of much motivation for the characters other than exploring this new, strange world. If you think you have a better idea, please, share. I beg of you. ;^;
... And I believe that covers what I wanted to say. Ask questions and share your ideas. Onegai! ;^;

YAY talking ficus! :DD
But really, I like the poofing idea. Perhaps, part of plot could be not only vicious monsters of various sizes, but political problems between the larger settlements of people. You know, like the threat of war or something. Thats assuming that we are starting with a handful of old settlements/towns/cities/whatever, haha

I was thinking of having the settlements we pass through have some sort of problem that needs fixing, be it settling a feud they have with a neighboring one or some mundane task as finding someone's lost kitty. Side quests, basically. xD But the threat of war would be bigger... I'm just not sure how our characters would go about preventing that. It sounds like a lot of traveling back and forth talking to the settlements' leaders and trying to get them to stop. At first it sounded monotonous, but thinking again, it could be interesting. It also allows for some conflict for the denizens. There'd be people against this war, people who'd want to be on a different side, rebellions... pretty much anything.
But they'd have a lot cut out for them if they were to negotiate with every group out there. xD Of course, this could be among the larger settlements, the ones that seem to have the most potential for power. And they can all be conveniently near each other rather than on different sides on the globe. :'D
Though I'm wondering how they'd go about doing this in the first place. I imagined everyone starting out in this sort of field/grassland place, away from any settlements, and they somehow decide to stick together. I'll throw a monster or two in there if I have to just to get it across that they're safer in numbers and even the loner type won't wander off unless s/he's an idiot. >.> Plus, if they're attacked, they'll probably try to seek refuge somewhere. Which is when they can find a settlement not too far off (or someone from there finds them while foraging or something and brings them back to the settlement; whatever) and we can really start getting into the plot. Using the threat of war as a plot, this settlement is probably peaceful, perhaps even afraid of the feuding going on between their neighbors. Which is when our characters learn about this potential war and try to stop it.
How's that sound?

Yay. This sounds interesting indeed, especially since it is sort of like an RPG-style thing. Thanks for making this, Elite-chan~ I shall be sure to use Nanoha just to drive everyone insane.
-squee-
I like that there would be such a diverse amount of characters who are all just thrown together. It makes it even better for them to team up and make things interesting because they have idea who to trust until they get to know each other. Since they will probably be confused and all. Character bonding and development!
So the planet only has monsters until everyone in sent there? It sounds primitive then, so it would probably take some time for something like ideas of war to come to fruition. If the roleplay started off anywhere I think we could start off in some grassy field or something like Elite-chan mentioned and then have the characters find out about war. Then thrown in a few free time arcs wherever we want. Feels more nature to me. So yeah, side quests first. There is a lot they could do if it is like Earth, and maybe they could come up with the name themselves since Elite-chan has not yet. ^^
I agree about the monsters. It could be the reason they all find each other in the first place. Plus, some of our characters could want to be on different sides, causing more drama. Instead of talking to every place then in order of peace, maybe it could just be the bigger settlements that are the bigger problems with the war and the smaller villages and such would be less in favor of war in the bigger settlements were not interested anymore? So yeah, what Elite-chan said. And yes, the rest of your explanation sounds great.

Yeah, the diverse cast of characters should hopefully make this fun. ^^ If only I could figure out which character I want to play... >.>;
I imagined the world to have started out virtually empty, so the monsters would have been poofed at the same time as the others. And this poofing been going on for centuries, so it's hard to say if it's primitive, especially since the poofing ignores time boundaries. So there could be cavemen as well as futuristic androids. Plus some groups could have intermingled, creating something unfathomable to us, like, I dunno, Native Americans with laser guns, but basically the same culture. If that made sense. o.O; So, though I don't imagine them to be as developed as in the world they came from (considering the average person's technological knowledge and resources), technology still can be advanced.
Apparently, I forgot to say this, but most of the settlements are well established. The generations who have been born there, rather than poofed, could not imagine another world that isn't like the one they live in while those who were poofed try to maintain the culture they had once lived in. Since there are beings being poofed into the world fairly often, the cultures are pretty well-preserved, but still different as a drastic change in location would warrant.
And I was going to post the actual roleplay a while ago, but like I said before, I can't pick a character. xD;; Hopefully I can just choose one soon though, so we can start. orz;;

Oh, I see! I think all of that stuff was implied in your description before, but that makes more sense. I have no complaints about any of that, and neither can I think of much else for us to go on right now. We can wait to see if someone else has something.
As for a character, just pick a random anime character, then. x3 Pick Pikachu as your Starter~

But there are so many anime characters. And I can't just pick a random one. ... Though I suppose Chikane might be nice, since she's prettiful, but she's literally nothing without Himeko. =/ Then there's Karina, but she'd be of no help whatsoever, and her laziness would probably get on my nerves. xD; Yes, I realize that you people don't really know what I'm talking about, but the point is, I'm gonna try to figure everything out by tonight. Hopefully. >U

Use the main character of the last anime you watched, then. =o
Then you do not have to decide~

I don't know the character, but after reading the intro, I think it sounds okay. And hey, you can get better after playing her for a while. Think of it as practice.
I shall! My intro is maybe about half written, so it'll be done soon. ^^
Updated first post looks fine. =b

It's never too late to join, so take your time, Spaz.
Though I must say, I'd like at least one more person to post before I post again on the RP, lest this turn into a one-on-one. o3o
