OoC;A revived role play from the old board. Also, this is the first time for me doing a role play like this, so just think of this as a test run. XD The staff of Maiya Hotel welcome you. Perhaps you are here for only a night, merely a stepping stone in your travel to your final destination, or maybe you are here with another, clandestine or otherwise. No matter the reason, a nights rest, a gourmet meal and a bit of mystery awaits those who choose to tread down our halls. Setting;3 story building of moderate size that is surrounded by a forest. Upon entering through the double doors at the front of the building, one is confronted by the registration desk and a lobby dotted with Victorian styled furniture. On each side of the desk is a pair of doors that lead into the dining area, where you can have a meal or just a simple snack and mingle with the other visitors. If you turned left after entering the hotel, there are stairs leading up to the upper floors; there is also a elevator with those unwilling to tackle the flights of stairs. The 2nd and 3rd floor hold many rooms, varying between 1 to 2 beds. These rooms are accommodated with everything one would expect of a hotel, including those little bottles of shampoo. Current state of things; It was just another night, though rather grey clouds were hovering in the sky and threatening the late arrivals with rain. Everyone seems to be a bit agitated, though that could just be blamed on the weather... right? Characters;Guests and Staff are need. I will be taking the place of the Manager, who answers to Maggie, and perhaps a guest if needed. Guests: Mystery Woman (Sarin's character)

OoC; @sarah; If you still want to be a maid, be my guest. (bad pun, I know.) Sarin; Of course! Zelda; More guests are always nice, but if you wish to be staff, there is always a need for cooks, another maid, front desk, or even a general handyman, lol.

@spaz: Okay, I'll be a maid then, since you seem to be getting a lot of guests from everyone else. And I just want to be. =b

Maggie stared out of the wide window that took up most of one wall in the dining area, massaging her temples with two fingers as a way to relax. The rain that the sky was suggesting has always made her feel achy and twice as old than her 30 something self actually was, and on top of that only half of her staff had decided to show up. Perhaps when all the guests, including the old man with the visor and fanny pack who was currently hovering around the fruit display, were tucked away in their rooms, she could put her curly brown hair up in a clip, switch on some romance flick and have a nice cup of hot tea. Yes, the tv that was in the staff room was bit small and had a tendency of flickering, but it would still be better than spending the night looking for extra blankets and being reprimanded by her customers. Perhaps she could even get one of the maids to put in extra work so that the hotel would be sparkling in a way it hasn't since spring began.
Her daydreaming was interrupted by a crash of a plate. Maggie straightened out her pink dress shirt and beige pants, opening her eyes as to confront whatever problem had cropped up now. Gladly, the plate had not burst into half a million pieces and the old man merely mumbled a sorry and got another one while Maggie picked up the abandoned platter, taking it into the kitchen.

He leaned backwards against the counter, resting his elbows and forearms on the surface. He let his hands dangle lazily off the edge, fingers tapping the underside of the kitchen's laminate countertops to the music flowing from his black earbuds. After a minute's rest, he dragged his jade eyes over the piles and piles of dirty dishes he would somehow have to wash before he left work to check the clock. It was late, but his day had only begun. Acting as the "dishwasher" of the night shift at the hotel had turned him into somewhat of a night owl, catching Z's during the daylight hours so he can keep awake while cleaning.
Hayden groaned when he noticed the cooks were especially cruel to him today; usually they cleaned up a little bit, but tonight it was a complete mess. He sighed deeply and told himself it was just one step closer to his goal. Once Maggie lets me do some actual cooking, I'll be on the road to celebrity chef-dom.
He had just started washing when he caught a faint clanging sound through the song he was listening to. He set the soapy pan down and pulled the earbuds out, turning to the door. A blond brow was raised in curiosity as he wondered what the noise had been. He considered investigating, but he was answered as Maggie entered the kitchen.
"Hey, Boss. What was that?" the 27-year-old asked casually, running a hand through his shaggy blond tresses.
ooc; Done. :D

Soft classical music floated off the crimson elevator walls in breezy and rhythmatical notes, the square-shaped room slowly sliding downwards to the first floor of the hotel. The staff were normally prohibited from the elevators because the guests were rightly entitled to use them at their leisure, but certainly tonight was a different occasion. Knowing Maggie, she would not mind on such a nearly stormy night one of her maids was slacking from tiring waddle down the hotel's flights of stairs. Tonight was a night for relaxation - none of this mumbo-jumbo that was unneccessary.
Luci was somewhat of a plump, yet young-appearing woman in her maid garb, though easily identifiable as cheerful in spirit because of a wide grin plastered straight across her face ear-to-ear. She was rather enthusiatic about the night shift duties, an attitude the average maid in employment at the hotel lacked. She had even found herself organizing beds in the rooms tonight because of her sudden urge to work. There were times where the twenty-five year old was positive Maggie thought she totally slacked-off and forced all of the other maids to do her share of the cleaning - which explained a minimal amount, considering their room assignments were even more atrocious - but she did work as diligently as possible for her boss.
The elevator snapped to a halt as it reached the first floor. Before the elevator doors creaked open there was a noise in the main hotel room; a sound like an important object breaking in half could be heard just on the opposite side of the door. Honestly, that would not have suprised Luci in the least. The guests always somehow managed to get their grubby little paws on expensive valuables and knock them to the floor. Worst on all, she was one of the only maids running about tonight, so she would probably have to be the one to fix that. With an annoyed sigh, she flipped her short curly red hair behind her shoulder as the elevator doors widened. She scanned the room with eyes as sharp as a hawk's, not noticing anything out of the ordinary, and blinked in confusion. Regardless, she was pleased with that realization, and wandered inside the room to seem busy.

You know, I feel sorry for this hotel. Everyone seems lazy, and I made it worse! You were supposed to be better than this, Luci. Oh well. Someone save this place~

ooc; I'm thinking about doubling as another maid... o: I'm planning on making her enthusiastic yet ditsy. x3 What other positions are needed? A bellhop, maybe, but it's late so not many people would be checking in.

OoC:| Yeah. ^^; And sorry Zee-tan, i promised she would be enthusiastic and ditzy, too. But somehow it got twisted around. Maybe another guest for me? A little girl? And is Elite-chan or Sa-tan still joining? -pokes them-
