I was going to post on this on the old board, but I forgot. Sorry. =x

It's okay because it is manga-related.

Like I said when I talked to you one day about this, i thought this sounded interesting. I don't know if you remember my points on the Cbox then, but neither do I, so. Do the powers go absolutely haywire because they're so powerful on the kids, and the powers mature with age? Do they have to go through some kind of practice and learn techniques to control them? Questions so far.

xD I was thinking the same thing. When I reread this that was when I was watching Kai, and I'm like, "Totally a Higurashi world!" Haha. But I don't think they farmed out there, because I don't remember any farmlands or anything. But I still like those types of settings, regardless. You can always add something different in later. Well anyways, new ideas, new ideas. Is this a modern story in just this rural setting? Because the school makes me think that, for some reason. I think you said it was. The place probably should have some main village guy and the characters would be cool to look like their elements. Snow = White hair or something. As for the plot, I don't know where to help along with that. Um. They're fighting another village? o-o Maybe I could help if you have more of an idea.

And I like all the names. x3 Figuring out the character relationships is important, too.

They technically don't age (there's no physical growth, anyways). In their realm, they don't really have a form; they're sorta like spirits, I guess. When entering our realm, they (typically) take a human form with the appearance that most suits them. That's why I put "appears to be about..." on them. So yeah, they have to undergo training to control it, though they each have their own methods since they're so unique from each other. And they also carry some special item to help them control their powers, which can be anything from a weapon (Kagutsuchi has a gun, I think) to an instrument (like Amaya's biwa). Gods don't usually need to use any items, since they more than likely have tons of experience with their powers, but it's pretty much a requirement for the princes/princesses to. Oh, and strong emotions can cause their powers to go haywire (particularly anger, like in Kagutsuchi's case where practically everything he touches catches on fire).

Higurashi had rice paddy field things... butbut, KwS has actual crops! Like Harvest Moon! Yes, it's modern day in a rural setting. It's intended to "combine present day Japan and its ancient past," like in Shintoism (the religion on which most of KwS is based, but there are also many others involved). I thought it'd be ideal to have a setting like that to portray... that.
Main village guy? Like a mayor? I was planning on most of the conflict happening in the gods' realm, so I don't think I'd need one. And yeah, I have them planned to look like their elements. Looking at my character designs again, I can't help but wonder why Suseri looks all mahou shoujo and floats around on a cloud. Probably has something to do with this whole idea originally being crack. (Mikoto was originally madly in love with Amaya for crying out loud! o_O;;)

All the names (minus the three at the end and Satoko) are either taken from the Shinto religion or are the god's element in Japanese (and maybe a few stolen from the game Izuna, I don't remember xD;). But I'm glad you like them. ^^ And I'm still figuring character relationships out. I recently just discovered Mikoto's sad (yet still incredibly dull xD) past. She was just one of those kids who was an outcast from the getgo though it is kinda her fault. D:

:< What do you mean it's a dumb idea? I have never watched/read Higurashi and I think it's interesting. The whole Gods-system thing was obviously thought-out. ^^ And this is kind of similar to Izuna. o: That game is pretty cool.

I personally like Plot 3. That would be some crazy stuff. xDD;

Well, I like it, but the idea really is stupid. Any further work I do on it probably won't be released on the internet besides drawing the characters now and then. I just wanna keep it to myself. >3<;;
